Exercise Classes:

Comfortable clothing that stretches and moves and is not too loose. (Tights, leotards, biker pants, T-shirts and sweat suits are all acceptable) Foot wear: Tennis shoes, ballet slippers, or bare feet. Also, bring a large towel or exercise mat if you feel you need extra padding for floor work.

Dance Classes:

Girls: Tights and leotards are required for each class. They may be any color or style. Target and K Mart carry tights & leotards for children. Please avoid leotards with frilly, full or long skirts. If you need adult size tights & leotards, try Step N Stretch near Ridgedale.

Boys: Sweatpants and a T-shirt are suggested for the boys.

Absolutely no street clothes will be allowed in the dance classes!

Foot Wear: Ballet shoes should be leather uppers and soles with an attached elastic strap over the instep. Black, pink or white is acceptable. Ballet shoes should fit snugly, as they will eventually stretch to the shape of the foot. Tap shoes should be leather and come with ties. Black is preferred.

Used tap shoes are available at the studio.  Jazz shoes can be as simple as inexpensive, white canvas tennis shoes. Leather jazz shoes are acceptable. Payless Shoes carries both ballet slippers and tap shoes in the fall. Please put a piece of masking tape with the student's name inside all shoes. Black is the recommended color for boys ballet and tap shoes.

All dance shoes should fit snuggly and not slip off easily!

Other Expenses:

It is recommended that students have a notebook and pencil to take down notes of important dance steps and information.
